Sourcing Tour
If you are based in Bali, or plan to visit Bali, a sourcing tour is a very efficient way to meet new manufacturers and suppliers for your business. Your itinerary will be curated based on the individual needs of your business. During the sourcing tour you will be accompanied by our driver and a guide from our team, who will be available to provide information and consultation about the processes. Our guide will also serve as a translator during meetings with the artisans (if needed) and assist to make sure no important topics are missed in the discussions.
FAQs
-
A sourcing tour can take one or two days. Usually, a tour will start at 09.30 from our office in West Denpasar, and you'll be back at the office in the late afternoon.
We recommend not making plans after the sourcing tour, because the tour is a full day with a lot of information to take in. However, if you need to be back before a certain time, please let us know at the time of booking.
-
You will visit between 4 and 9 artisans/supplier per day. If you are planning to do a custom project and require discussion time with the artisans to go through your designs thoroughly, we may spend longer at each destination and therefore visit less places. If you are looking for private label goods, we will be visiting showrooms and may have time to visit more places.
-
The itinerary will be custom made for you. Our team will curate artisans and suppliers that suit best to your needs, based on your brief. You will receive the suggested itinerary by email around one week before your tour date, and if you feel we are missing anything you can give feedback so we can still revise the schedule before the tour.
Ideally, you'd book your tour at least 30 days in advance, to give our team time to thoroughly study your brief and prepare your itinerary accordingly.
-
Yes, absolutely! You can place orders directly during the tour. However, you are not obliged to place any orders directly. Most clients use the tour to collect information and then go back to the suppliers one or two days after the tour to confirm their orders.
-
No, we will never ask you or the manufacturers/suppliers to pay any fees or commissions to The Bali Curator on your orders.
-
You can work with the artisans and suppliers that you met during the tour directly, no strings attached!
However, if you'd like to get more assistance from us, we will of course be happy to work with you.
